2021 to present

We have worked with The Migraine Trust to build a base of parliamentary supporters for better migraine care, including identifying many members of all four parliaments in the UK who were either personally impacted by migraine or had loved ones or close colleagues who were.

IMPACT

We developed a series of four practical ‘parliamentarians toolkits’, providing them and their staff with information on how to support constituents and colleagues impacted by migraine. We launched these toolkits at events that brought parliamentarians together with patient advocates.

Through two Freedom of Information campaigns we have researched the landscape of migraine care in the NHS in all four nations, finding inconsistencies in access to NICE-approved treatments and monitoring changes overtime.

Working with clinical experts, we crafted policy recommendations for how to improve migraine care and access to treatment in the first of several reports we developed with The Migraine Trust:

  • Dismissed for too long: Recommendations to improve migraine care in the UK.

“Principle Consulting have made a real impact with our work to see improvements in migraine care.”

Rob Music, chief executive of The Migraine Trust

The Migraine Trust is dedicated to helping people affected by migraine. We are the only UK migraine charity providing information and support, campaigning for awareness and change, and funding and promoting research.
